Hi, I’m Emily! I spent years as an educator before transitioning into the wellness community, where I now focus on helping people live healthier, more balanced lives. I'm deeply passionate about people, community, and the power of nourishing food. Together with my husband Josiah, we pour our hearts into sharing wholesome, handmade products. Through my sourdough and other homemade goods, I love offering food that nourishes both body and soul, bringing people together with every loaf.
About Artos
In the Bible, the Greek word artos means bread, but it carries a much deeper significance beyond physical nourishment. Jesus referred to Himself as the "bread of life" in John 6:35, saying, "Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." Bread symbolizes sustenance, both physically and spiritually, as seen in the Lord’s Prayer when we ask, "Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11). Even in Acts 2:46, the early church is described as breaking bread together daily, sharing meals with glad and sincere hearts.
Artos represents more than just bread—it’s about tradition, community, and the simple joys of gathering around the table. Each loaf is handcrafted with care, honoring the biblical role of bread as a symbol of provision, connection, and grace.

Sourdough is a beautiful reminder that while we can put in effort, it’s ultimately God who creates the growth. Just as we nurture our sourdough starter with care and patience, the growth it experiences is beyond our control. Similarly, in life, we can put in the work, but it’s God who provides the increase. Sourdough, like life, is a humble partnership—our effort, His growth.
